When you see the sign for MORGAN 4000 turn right into the parking lot and park. Head to the lobby marked Brooks Complex.
Brooks complex is the building to the left of the parking lot. (It’s made up of Morgan and Hickory Post.)
Brooks is where our sleeping rooms and coffeehouse room (Pierson) are located.
Our session meetings take place in the Rollins Center in the North Georgia room.
FAQ’s
Q: If I didn’t request a roommate, will I be assigned one?
A: Yes, but no worries. It’s easy to be a little nervous about this, but much prayer goes into this so trust that God has a reason for every connection. See if you can uncover what it is!
Q: This is the first time I’ve been on a retreat. Will I be the only one?
A: Of the 35 women attending 35% have never attended a women’s retreat. This is our first BridgePointe Church Ladies Retreat!! This in unchartered territory for all of us. We’ll make new memories together!
Q: Are we going to sit and listen to speakers the whole time?
A: No. There will be 4 teaching sessions. 1 Thursday evening, 2 Friday and 1 Saturday. Every session will begin with worship. We’ll also have time in circles getting to know other women as well as time alone with God. There will be some free time to do fun things with other women or alone Saturday afternoon.
Q: What is coffeehouse?
A: We’ve reserved the Pierson room in the Brooks complex as our ‘hang out’ place in the evenings. Shared snacks will be available along with wii games, just dance, cards and board games. It’s our chance to just hang out in our jammies together.
Q: What are some things I can look forward to?
A: Not having to take care of, or answer to, anyone else. Sleep. Food you don’t have to cook. A break from kids, work, family, and men. A speaker than will make you laugh. You’ll be able to personally relate to the speaker, Shelley Hendrix. You’ll be able to have time for God. You’ll laugh A LOT. Chocolate! Great worship. Comfortable beds. Meeting some new friends. Getting to know people that you’ve only known from afar up till now. An encounter with God! Great prizes and more great prizes!
Q: Do I need to bring food?
A: All meals and snacks will be provided as part of the registration fee. However we do ask that you bring a snack to share for the coffeehouse where we’ll hang out in the evenings together.
Q: Do I need to bring sheets and towels?
A: No, The Lodge will provide these for us.
Q: Do I need to bring any money?
A: Everything you need is covered in your registration fee. Shelley Hendrix, our speaker, and Lisa Easton will have a product table with books, t-shirts, CDs. You could bring spending money for this if you want.
